Most of the time, I aim only to capture FUN and ADVENTUROUS times, mostly for the pleasure of my own memory (which, let it be known, has always been at the forgetful end of the spectrum). So that one day when I get around to making a website, or a compensatory memory book, I will have written the day and month on the back of the print and will be able to illustrate the wondrous times that were underway. However, I have found myself in so many beautiful, dark, wooden homes that open to the cold bright light over the past few winters, and my camera has become a tool for documenting serenity and moments of stillness and definite inaction, where the only presence is light and its texture as it moves through waves of glass and fabric. The interface of wood and light and the role of the intermediating materials. My composition is negligible at best- the photos, like windows, frame themselves. Opa!
